He dispatches, helps with the invoices, and he’s the guy that keeps our IT systems up and running. He can build a PC while he’s doing all the other stuff. He also takes care of most of our administrative duties from hiring, inventory, and facilities management.

He works from 5am many days, another way we provide First Class Service.
Tracy Dougan, Routes and Dispatch
Tracy has been with us since 2006. He started as a part time courier, delivering on a morning route and running hotshots. He became our early routing assistant in 2007. He has an uncanny method of learning every route in the North Texas area. His innovation has helped our client save time and improved our systems. Tracy also works in our busy dispatch center on occasion.
Odis Dean, Mr Everything
Odis Dean came to Metro 1 at an age that most people retire. He just wanted to stay busy. Odis , a retired US Marine, is a Sunday school teacher and the mentor to most of the couriers working for us. He shows the young guys what work ethic is all about and everyone respects him. He sets up our daily schedule, scans packages, helps set up routes and then hits the streets to see his friends in the marketplace. He still comes to work because he likes what he does and we like having him here.
Metro 1 Couriers
The couriers of Metro 1 are a diverse group of men and women. The youngest has been 21, and the oldest was a World War II veteran that retired in 2008. All of them agree to undergo a criminal history record check with the Texas Department of Public Safety and background history. They all wear a uniform and carry a photo ID badge. They are people that enjoy their work and the freedom to run their own business. Our couriers include former school teachers, police officers, and many military veterans.
